David Wolf, Porland Oregon Tutor, with his family

For Parents

I am right there with you, a parent of two—Aeneas and Athena. Like yours, my children are unique. I listen when my kids speak and follow their lead, offering tools to help them explore and succeed. I teach them to live their questions. Children today, in Portland and everywhere else, should be the pilots of their learning, with parents, teachers, and tutors as guides. We’ll be partners in the learning experience of your child. I’ll keep you up to date and include you in any decisions I make as your child’s private tutor.

A choice of four weeklong Summer 2020 Workshops

June 15-19 | June 22-26 | July 6-10 | July 27-31

The aim of this weeklong workshop in Portland is for students to complete the Common App essay. Meeting each morning for two hours, you’ll be guided through a structured process that includes pre-writing exercises, lessons in narrative technique, one-on-one conferencing, and a thorough revision. The instructor, David Wolf, an experienced writing tutor, creates a supportive environment and reads your drafts with care. You’ll end the week having written an essay that tells college admissions officers something vital about you.
